St George (Sant Jordi) is a patron of Catalonia. Every year on April 23 couples give each other a rose and a book. It is a day of love and literature. This day has become so important for Catalans, that they declared it like the Catalan's World Day. All towns and villages are filling with sale spots of books and roses, but the most important part of the celebration is taking place in Girona, where there is also a spring festival.
