Apartment in Cadaques, villa in Llançà
Enjoy the sea, the sun and art and culture in a villa in Cadaques or Llançà!
Llançà
Renting a villa in Llançà or surroundings brings about many advantages. In Llançà starts a route that connects all the villages and bays of Cap de Creus. Taking a winding road with a beautiful view from Llançà, you can get to Port de la Selva, Cadaques and Roses. If you opt for a villa in Llançà or an apartment in Cadaques, Costa Brava, it makes sense to rent a car. This way you will not miss the spectacular views in the area.
A villa in Llançà is the best choice for water sport fans. The city has a fishing port and a marina. There are schools and sport centres for sailing, kayaking, catamaran sailing and other water sports. In the harbour, the fish auction takes place after the arrival of the boats at sunset: certainly a spectacle well worth seeing.
You can rent a villa in Llançà directly on the harbour beach, or at other beaches in the town, such as Garbet, Cap-Ras, Canyelles, Grifeu, Farella and Cau del Llop. There is also a nudist beach between Llançà and Colera, which is called Cala Burró. The beaches are surrounded by two nature parks, Albera and Cap de Creus.
Cadaqués
Cadaques is 17 kilometres away from Llançà. It is a small community, which is a little difficult to access due to a road of endless hairpin bends. This small, isolated town is a great destination for those who would like to switch off completely and really relax. A villa in Cadaques is undoubtedly better to do so than an apartment in Roses.
Cadaques used to be a traditional fishing village that has always lived by the sea, and until the end of the nineteenth century it was almost completely cut off from the outside world. The isolated location of the village became a magnet for artists, including Salvador Dalí, Paul Éluard and Max Ernst. Today, the picturesque village is also a destination for tourists, who rent an apartment in Cadaques during the holiday season.
The house Dalí bought in Cadaques in 1948 after his return from New York is now open to visitors. Following the path of the great artist, you can rent an apartment or a villa in Cadaques and from there make a trip to his home town of Figueres where you can visit the Teatre-Museu Dalí. A little further away there is the castle of Gala and Dalí in Púbol, which marks the end of the artistic route.
Port de la Selva
This small fishing village at the Cap de Creus features some of the best beaches in Catalonia.
Choose from a huge list of apartments in Port de la Selva, near the various beaches with its very special character (from the sandy beaches to the beaches with round stones). All the beaches have crystal clear water, making them ideal for water sports.
Port de la Selva has some things in common with Cadaques. The external appearance of the two places is similar in many ways. But perhaps Port de la Selva has a more lively atmosphere. Cadaques is quieter and has less tourist traffic.
