There are two documented consecrations of the monastery, one in 935 and the other in 1123. Built with two slabs of slate one on top of the other.The church is dedicated to San Miguel, and is Romanesque with three naves and a transept that extends to the outside.
The sanctuary has three apses chapels.
The décor is austere, with exterior Lombard arches.
