The museum is dedicated exclusively to the preservation, study and dissemination of the natural and cultural heritage relating to cork. Visitors are introduced to the subject of bioecology, which focuses on the cork oaks, which are where cork comes from, as well as how the cork is obtained and used; the process and machinery used in the artisanal manufacture of bottle corks; and sculptures and altarpieces made from this material.
Timetables:From 15 June to 15 September, Monday-Saturday, 10am-2pm and 4-9pm. From 16 September to 14 June, Tuesday-Saturday, 5-8pm. Sundays and public holidays, 10.30am-1.30pm. Closed: Mondays (except from 15 June to 15 September), 1 and 6 January, 1 May, 25 and 26 December.
