A relic of Europe
The pharmacy, founded in the 15th century, has a unique collection.

The Esteve Pharmacy is in the Pyrenees, 5 kilometres from Puigcerdà, in the small village of Llívia. It is famed as the oldest pharmacy in Europe. The pharmacy, which closed in 1920, is now a small museum where you can see prescriptions, laboratory instruments, books, jars and other old objects, dating from the Middle Ages through to the beginning of the 20th century.

Timetables 1 April to 30 June, Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-6pm. 1 July to 30 September, 10am-7pm. 1 October to 30 March, 10am-4.30pm. Closed: Mondays (except July and August), 1 and 6 January, 24, 25, 26 and 31 December.

Tarifs: General admission: €1. Reduced: €0.75 (groups, minimum 25 people); €0.50 (Youth Card holders, with ID). Free: children under 10 years.
